There are numerous other fantastic men’s ministry resources available on the web and in print, and many of them we wholeheartedly celebrate, support, and recommend.
However, Warrior Disciple aims to be different from most Christian men’s help aides. The table below shows how we differ from the rest.
Warrior Disciple
No geographical restrictions in face-to-face interactions – can be done anywhere you live in the world!
Other Men’s Resources
Often are only usable if a certain number of men live close by or if there is a “chapter” in your city, state/province, or country.
Warrior Disciple
Can be done with any size of group, from a multi-site church to a small group of your buddies getting together and discussing the material.
Other Men’s Resources
Frequently have limitations based on too little to too many participants.
Warrior Disciple
Is highly adaptable and can have any start date, and it can fit in with any schedule your church’s men’s ministry might have.
Other Men’s Resources
Often restricted to specific start and end dates throughout the calendar year.
Warrior Disciple
Fully fleshed-out men’s curriculum for an entire year.
Other Men’s Resources
Almost always limited to a short span of time, like a 6 or 8-week video or book series, or a 40-day devotional book, leaving you scrambling for more material after it’s finished.
Warrior Disciple
Flexible and adaptable to almost any medium, technology, or setting: book, ebook, video meetings, online chat, face-to-face meetings, church building, coffee shops, homes, and more.
Other Men’s Resources
Commonly restricted to one or more medium or settings, such as being only done at a brick-and-mortar church building, having to join an app, participate in a Facebook group, or belong to a paid program of some kind.
Warrior Disciple
Free to participate in, outside of the cost of the Warrior Disciple book.
Other Men’s Resources
Frequently requires subscriptions, paid apps, or other memberships.
Warrior Disciple
Focuses on Biblical answers on how God wants to you be a better man, centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ and discipleship.
Other Men’s Resources
Sometimes uses worldly, secular training and concepts on leadership and manhood without a deep dive into true Biblical male character.
Warrior Disciple
Offers free resources on how to implement and/or lead the Warrior Disciple program.
Other Men’s Resources
Often left on your own to try to figure out how to integrate ministry materials.
Warrior Disciple
Men do much lighter reading (usually 6-10 pages) to prepare for discussion for each session. Less reading doesn’t mean weaker content; Warrior Disciple lessons are jam-packed full of deep, biblical principles that urge men to go all-in for Christ.
Other Men’s Resources
Other systems and programs may have participants read an entire chapter of a book between get-togethers. Let’s face it; some men aren’t heavy readers, so trying to get every man to cover and finish all of the material can often be a difficult proposition.
